Style 2044 Braided Packing
Style 2044 is an interlock braid, using spun aramid carded yarns, treated individually with PTFE suspensoid. The packing is also lubricated with silicone based compound for quick and easy break-in. The use of spun aramid fibers produces a softer and very tough packing, but one that is less abrasive than packings braided with aramid filaments.Style 2044 is a durable packing able to withstand granular and abrasive applications.

Material Properties
- Material: Aramid fibers with PTFE impregnation.
- Chemical resistance: Resistant to a wide variety of chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and solvents.
- Abrasion resistance: Suitable for high-wear applications.
- Low friction: PTFE impregnation reduces friction and wear.
- Available Thicknesses: Typically available in sizes from 1/8" to 1" (3.2 mm to 25.4 mm).
